Snapchat, an app that apparently caters to the young and confusing to the old (well anyone who still remembers the Atari like myself) is inviting the public into its world of investing. I have tried to give this app a chance, but out of frustration it has been deleted and then downloaded again and again in a vicious back and forth cycle like the recent presidential debates. I just cannot seem to get the hang of this so called “simple” app that my 15-year-old daughter has tried to show me while she looks at me like I am the dumbest person in the world.
In an article by www.vox.com, it states that snapchat is working on an IPO, allowing the public to invest in the company. Wall street is trying to determine if the app will be teen friendly in the coming years since this generation of youngsters tend to have an attention span of a gnat. As usual, people my age will just be getting started but they will have moved on to another app to fulfill their social needs.
Snapchat has had substantial growth since appearing on the scene back in 2011. As of 2016, they have reached 100 million monthly users and is still growing.
Even though I do not see ANY point of this app, I am still going to try to use it. I should have it together in about 2 years or so if I haven’t quit by then.
